LUBBE INCORPORATED HAVING THE GAUTRAIN EXPERIENCE
You might have this picture of us in your head – strict faces with picture perfect corporate clothes and a sort of clinical approach to life. Well, you might just want to adjust that idea just a big bit. Though we ARE highly professional and efficient, we also pride ourselves with being quite normal.

This would mean that all the girls (yes, at the moment Lubbe Incorporated has no male employed, but we are fully aware of the equality clause in section 9 of the Constitution and assure you that it is just a coincidence) had no problem with a Gautrain trip from Hatfield to Sandton for our year-end function, especially since we needed to be at work an hour later than usual. Who hates a little extra sleep?

We enjoyed the state of the art new pride of South African transport. No more whistling of trains, just the silent and speedy drive through our beautiful city. It was a first time experience for a few, including boss's little 6 month old son, who probably enjoyed it most of all. He was the gentleman in our midst.

Upon our arrival at Sandton station, like everyone else, we took the ever so long escalators. But unlike everyone else we were taking photos of each other – struggling with the pram, standing on the escalator…and then, from focusing so much on being pretty on the photo, our learned colleague almost (like you would not believe just how almost) fell when she reached the top! This was funny, but not so much if you take into account that she was 7 months pregnant. Goodness!

From here onwards, we had no serious problems, except for the very cold wind. We enjoyed ourselves with a wonderful buffet breakfast at one of the restaurants and shared thoughts about the year that had passed. We became family, really, even though I did not think we would…or maybe that is just Lubbe Incorporated. Feel most welcome to join our family and have as help you sort your problems!
